About the Event
Order of the Raider is a formal recognition event dedicated to honoring Airmen whose contributions have directly enabled contingency response operations. It highlights operational impact, reinforces the 621st CRW's identity, and establishes a lasting tradition tied to the mission.
Contingency Response forces operate in dynamic and austere environments, enabling rapid global mobility and mission execution. These contributions are often unseen, but they are critical to operational success.
The 621st Contingency Response Wing traces its roots to the 621st Air Mobility Operations Group, established on 24 June 1994, and later redesignated as the 621st CRW on 1 March 2005. Since then, Devil Raiders have consistently operated at the forefront of expeditionary operations worldwide.
Order of the Raider exists to recognize those contributions, connect today's Airmen with the Wing's legacy, and reinforce the culture of excellence required to execute the mission.
